Subject to the following conditions with which the renter agrees to comply:

 

 

  1. RESERVATIONS TERMS:  A non – refundable payment will reserve date and time for the wedding.  The balance is due 90 DAYS prior to the wedding date.

Symphony Garden Deposit       $250.00              Romanian Garden Deposit     $200.00

Scotland Garden Deposit          $175.00              Norway Garden Deposit         $175.00

Tea House Garden Deposit       $100.00              Other Areas – Deposit To Be Determined

MINIMUM AGE:  You must be 18 years of age to rent any Garden facility

 

2.      DATES AND HOURS OF USE:  Weddings are scheduled from the second weekend in May through the end of October. 

 

The Symphony Garden is rented from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm with vows at 1pm    or    3:30 pm to 6:30 pm with vows at 5pm. Your bridal party and guests must leave the bridal tent and Symphony Garden area by the end of your designated time slot. There will be a $125 charge if venue is not vacated by the appointed time.  Delays cause problems for other bridal parties and IFG volunteers.

 

The Romanian Garden is rented from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm with vows at 3pm. Bridal Tent and people mover are not included.  There will be a $125 charge if venue is not vacated by the appointed time.  Delays cause problems for other bridal parties and IFG volunteers.

 

 Norway and Scotland Gardens are rented from 1-3pm with vows at 2pm   or   3:30 – 5:30pm with vows at 4:30pm.  There will be a $125 charge if venue is not vacated by the appointed time.  Delays cause problems for other bridal parties and IFG volunteers.

 ALL TIMES ARE CENTRAL TIME, NOT EASTERN.

 

Photographs can be taken in other parts of the Gardens after your wedding time is over as long as you are not in an area where another event is taking place.  However a people mover will not be provided for bridal party after your rental time is over.

 

  1. LEGAL:  You will comply with all laws of the United Sates and the State of Indiana and with all ordinances of the town of Pottawattomie Park, and all International  Friendship Gardens rules and regulations, and you will not permit anything to be done on said premises in violation thereof.

 

  1. ALCOHOL:  Alcoholic beverages and controlled substances are not permitted on International Friendship Gardens property.  This includes the parking lot.  Please advise wedding party and guests of this rule.

 

  1. GLASS CONTAINERS of any kind are not permitted outside of the wedding stage except as exempted in the contract.

 

  1. NO FIRES:  Ground fires are strictly prohibited.

 

  1. FLOWER PETALS, LITTER:  Leave the premises clean, placing all paper and other debris in receptacles furnished by the Gardens.  DO NOT strew anything on the ground except a few LIVE flower petals from your flower girl ONLY.  Clean up of other items is too difficult.  Bubbles, butterfly and dove releases are acceptable.  Unfortunately due to past experiences with brides who will not follow these simple rules, we must require a security/damage deposit of $200.00.  This deposit will be refunded the week following your ceremony if there are no problems.

 

  1. ELECTRIC USE:  Electric is included at no additional fee .

 

  1. PARKING & ENTRANCE:  You and your guests are admitted to the Gardens for the rehearsal and day of your wedding at no additional fee.

 

  1. CANCELLATION:  Should you decide to cancel your reservation, the deposit is non- refundable  No rain checks or refunds will be given due to inclement weather.  If cancelled within 90 days of event, 50% of final received payment will be returned.  For example: $850.00 wedding, $250.00 deposit = $600 final payment.  $600 final payment paid, then wedding cancelled- you would be refunded $300.00 back = half of final payment.

 

  1. DECORATING:  Decorating is permitted.  However, no staples or nails are allowed.

 

  1. CAPACITY:  The Symphony Garden can service weddings up to 200 guests, Romanian up to 150 guests. Our Wedding Coordinator is available to answer your questions.

 

  1. SPECIAL REQUESTS:  Any special requests must be submitted to the Gardens for approval no later than forty-five (45) days prior to your rental date.  Special requests may include anything not specifically covered in this rental agreement.

 

  1. PERSONAL PROPERTY AND VALUABLES:  The Gardens CANNOT be responsible for the personal property and valuables of wedding party members and guests which includes the bridal tent.  Please secure your property as you would in any public place.
