A
joyful day of traditional and contemporary Romanian folk music and
dance was held on Sept 3, 2005, with a goal of raising funds towards the
purchase of a Maramusen gate to
be installed in the Romanian Garden. Romanian food was served while
guests enjoyed the singing of one of Romania’s top television singers,
the Miorita dancers from Chicago, a Romanian folk singer, and a
violinist. The entire production was the work of John Arama, Chairman;
Sorin Crisan, Vice-Chairman; Dr. Mary Leuca, and George Neagu who
organized the event. If you wish to contribute toward the poarta,
